1. What is digital signage hardware?
The core equipment needed for a digital signage system consists of the screen and the player. The screen is a digital display to show the content and comes in various shapes and sizes. Examples are monitors, LED TVs, video walls, and LED walls. The player is a device that connects to the screen via a display cable and acts as a media controller to output content. Some displays have built-in players as well.
2. Where can I get the digital signage display?
The displays can be purchased via authorized distributors, vendors, or electrical shops. Alternatively, you can contact us if you wish to get the displays from us. Besides providing the displays, we can advise on the most suitable type of displays for your needs. The brands that we offer are commercial models from LG, Samsung, Panasonic, and AOC.
3. How to create digital signage content?
The content to be displayed is important. A designer is usually hired to create content. If you don't have an in-house designer, you may engage third-party design agencies to develop the content for you. The skills needed are graphic design and video editing skills. Alternatively, you may create the content yourself with some DIY design tools in the market, such as Canva and VistaCreate. Talk to us if you need help in content creation.
4. Can I use my existing screens and displays with SP-Signage?
Yes, you definitely can. At most, you will need a player and hook it up to your existing screen via an HDMI/VGA cable. The player will run our SP-Signage player software to manage the content of your displayers. If you have a supported player, then all you need is our SP-Signage player license.
5. Is an internet connection required for the displays?
The short answer is yes. An active internet is required to push content to your displays. However, SP-Signage is optimized and doesn't require a high bandwidth internet connection for it to work. You may just connect the players to the internet via WiFi or LAN.
6. How many displays can SP-Signage support?
There is no limit to the number of displays that can be connected to the SP-Signage cloud platform.
